French Jacquard Kitchen Towels: South of France Collection
I first stumbled on these French cotton jacquard kitchen towels 20 years ago, and they are a game-changer! My original two lasted almost that long (only our new puppy took them down), and I spent many of those years obsessed, trying to find out where to buy more. Happily, here they are - the exact ones!
These kitchen towels are made by Garnier-Thiebaut, the oldest linen house in France's Vosges region, weaving since 1833. They're jacquard specialists, and also supply some of the world’s fanciest hotels and restaurants, in addition to my messy kitchen. :)
Their French jacquard is special because it actually absorbs, as well as washes and dries like a dream. These towels also hold up for years - decades later mine have no unraveling seams or fading colors. And French jacquard feels so good in my hands.
Warning: once you start using these, it's REALLY tough to go back.
This collection is the south of France in a towel: sun-warmed, a little rustic, and happily colorful. It's the feeling of a long lunch in Provence, a Saturday market basket, and a little terrace with a view. Perfect for foodies.
