OK, so these bugs are freaking gorgeous. This garland from East End Press has ten beetles, moths, and insects, each screen printed by hand in jewel-toned colors with shimmery metallic details, and sewn along a strong cotton thread. They’re printed on both sides, so it looks good from any angle.

While I find this garland oddly festive (no explanation, haha) it isn't just a holiday thing. This is the kind of decoration I can see myself bringing out for occasions all year long: birthdays, Valentine’s Day, New Year’s, Happy First Day of Summer, etc.

It's about 10 feet long and made from recycled paper, hand printed by fair-trade artisans in Jaipur. It's a totally unexpected gift for the nature lover, the science kid, or anyone who likes their decor a little quirky.
