Meet Our Vendors
TheMomEdit is proud to partner with the following small businesses and local artisans:
Angela Monaco
Philadelphia-based jewelry designer and entrepreneur Angela Monaco has been designing beautiful, distinctive jewelry for more than twenty years. Each piece is designed at their Walnut Street studio, and is then made – in recycled metal – on Philadelphia’s Jeweler’s Row, where they’ve been working with the same family-owned businesses for over a decade.
A reverence for the natural world is at the core of every piece crafted by Angela Monaco Jewelry. They only source ethical gems, and cast in recycled or fair-mined metals. All AMJ pieces are produced by hand within a one-mile radius of their Philadelphia Flagship.
Casupo
Casupo is a sustainable leather goods brand founded by Luz, who grew up near the Casupo mountain range in Venezuela. With 15 years of experience designing leather goods for major brands like New Balance & Fila, Luz started her own line by rescuing leather destined for waste, and sourcing sustainable leathers from gold-rated tanneries (who use natural dyes to reduce toxic impact).
A portion of Casupo profits is donated to FUNDANICA, a nonprofit providing children’s medical care in Venezuela, located at the base of the Casupo mountains where Luz spent her childhood hiking.
Based in Long Beach, California, Casupo reflects Luz’s commitment to nature, responsible craftsmanship, and giving back.
Jane Win
Jane Winchester Paradis, founder of Jane Win, launched her jewelry line after more than 20 years in fashion design and marketing. Reflecting on her journey, she says, “Starting a company at age 45 is not the path that many take.” But that leap felt right for her after years spent working with brands like Adrienne Vittadini, Calvin Klein Cosmetics, Barneys New York, and Lilly Pulitzer. “I wanted to build something from scratch, something original that connected with women,” she shares, adding, “And I wanted my kids to see me do it (and help!).”
Born in New Hampshire and having lived up and down the East Coast, Jane’s career took her from New York City to now settling just outside Philadelphia. She’s “very (very very very) happily married” to her husband, Doug, with five kids between them. But it was her experience at the 2017 Women’s March in Washington, D.C., that ignited a spark: while she loved her job at Lilly Pulitzer, she was ready to create something meaningful and personal, with her family by her side for every step.
Raising Surfers
Raising Surfers is a community of water-dwellers who aspire to have better tomorrows for generations to come. Their mission is to get everyone who ever dreamed of learning to surf on a board, and into a wave. Raising Surfers sponsors swim lessons in communities of need throughout the United States.
Their jewelry designs mainly use a high grade carbon neutral stainless steel as a base and is coated in recycled gold. Stainless steel is a sustainable metal that is both hypoallergenic and resistant to rust, oxidation, and discoloration yet is also eco-friendly. They use a proprietary blend of techniques to ensure that our plating process is best in class, and many of their pieces can be considered waterproof (even while surfing).
Room Shop
Room Shop was founded by Shelly Horst and her husband Dryw Scully in 2017. With a background in merchandising and trend forecasting, Shelly found herself drawn to designing accessories and set out to make “the biggest scrunchie anyone has ever seen” in 2018. The resulting Cloud Scrunchies set off the giant scrunchie trend and is now a wardrobe staple for every fashion girl. The brand now does everything from hair accessories to handbags and charms. Everything is designed with a sense of whimsy and a trend-forward POV, while always looking to vintage for inspiration. Using fabrics that are rich in shine or ethereal and sheer, Room Shop accessories take any outfit to the next level. The brand is small batch, made in Philadelphia and strives for zero waste by using scraps to make new designs and recycling what is left.
Stone Cooper
"We believe jewelry is a method of storytelling. Ritual adornment can inspire us, build our community, and connect us to generations past and future. Our pieces are sustainably and ethically-sourced, frequently making the most of antique and vintage deadstock parts. We craft and curate meaningful treasures to enhance your inherent divinity and power."
Katherine Sliclen is the owner and designer behind Stone Cooper. Her love for jewelry began at a young age, working at multiple bead stores and studying metalsmithing on the side. After interning in NYC’s diamond district, Kat decided to pursue her passion more seriously and opened Stone Cooper upon graduating college in 2013.
