Notes

  • Gold fill vintage necklaces
  • Era: 1940-1950’s

Sourced by Kat of Stone Cooper (who has 20+ years of experience in the antique jewelry biz), these vintage bow necklaces are American-made, high-end vintage costume jewelry, dating back to the 1920 - 1960’s, when the East Coast was the costume jewelry capital of the world. Two are signed from famed American maker Van Dell.

This necklace, with its delicate wire filigree and cultured pearls, evokes the romantic feeling of antique Edwardian jewelry.

  • Length: 15in + 1.5in extender
  • Details: Gold filled spring ring clasp
  • Era: likely 1940s-50s

This necklace is the epitome of 1940s retro glamour, with its rose gold-fill bows and purple rhinestones. This necklace is signed by Van Dell, an American costume-jewelry company best known for high-quality, gold-filled pieces that were so good…they often get mistaken for fine jewelry. This piece is a good example of why.

  • Length: 15.5in + 2in extender
  • Details: Gold filled with purple rhinestones lobster claw clasp; engraved with original manufacturer’s signature
  • Era: likely 1940s

Another Van Dell (signed!) stunner, these sculptural bows were crafted in a two-tone mix of yellow and rose gold-fill. Van Dell was an American costume-jewelry company best known for high-quality, gold-filled pieces that were so good…they often get mistaken for fine jewelry (like this one).

  • Length: 15.5in + 2in extender
  • Details: Gold filled; engraved with original manufacturer’s signature (Van Dell)
  • Era: likely 1940s
