Notes

  • Riddles: This is exactly the kind of thing I keep in my purse to keep the kiddos entertained. And these riddles are the exact right amount of hard: not too much (most are about everyday objects), but not totally easy, either.
  • Constitution: If there was ever a time to get up close and personal with our actual Constitution…this is it. We love that this deck poses truly interesting questions as a way to navigate through it, too. Questions like, “Does the Constitution stipulate that there must be 12 jurors on every jury?” or “Why was the voting age lowered to 18?” Not only is there an answer on the back of each card, but the specific court case or other historical rationale is included, too.
  • Experts:If you also have a kid who is constantly asking questions you never know the answers to…here’s ya stocking stuffer (or Hanukkah present). This deck is truly fascinating and tons of fun.
  • Shakespeare: This one is so freaking perfect for teens. My guys get a serious kick out of Shakespearean insults. “I do desire we be better…strangers.”
  • Two Shakes Of A Lamb’s Tail: Did you know that the phrase, “cool as a cucumber” has been around since 1615(!!), and was first used to describe - of course - women. But take that with a grain of salt - origins of words can open a whole can of worms. ;)
  • Evolutionary Curiosities: This deck is a treat for the nature lover, the trivia buff or the person who’s always full of questions. Ever wondered why there aren’t giant insects anymore? Who knew they existed in the first place… ick! It’s a gift that keeps the “did you know?” moments coming.
