For a stocking stuffer with some ancient history, this pocket-size game is the version of tic tac toe that ancient Romans played. Originally called ‘Rota’, it’s quick to learn, but surprisingly strategic. And unlike the regular tic tac toe, this version will never end in a tie.

Plastic-free and made from wood, it comes packed in a recyclable kraft envelope.

What's inside:

  • Wooden game board
  • 6 wooden tokens (3 per player)
  • Printed instruction card

Notes:

How To Play:

  1. Setup: each player takes 3 tokens of one color.
  2. Place: take turns putting one token on any empty spot until all 6 are down.
  3. Move: take turns sliding one token to an empty neighboring spot, either around the rim or along a spoke to or from the center. No jumping.
  4. Win: be the first to get 3 in a row, either 3 neighboring spots on the rim or a straight line through the center.

For 2 players, ages 6+.
