We’re hot chocolate super fans over here - my son makes it daily in the winter, using his his “special blend” of non-dairy milks, haha - and I’ve always been a sucker for chocolate + rose. This blend (made from organic, fair trade, Ecuadorian cacao) is really sophisticated and delicious. I love that the rose flavor doesn’t get lost, and there’s the barest hint of cardamom, too (a flavor that sometimes overpowers, but not here!). 

My son initially wasn’t sure if he liked this - it is different from the usual hot chocolate - but he ended up adding a little more sugar and LOVED it. Me? I like both. YUM.

Black Cherry:

  • Ingredients: juice from organic dark sweet cherries, unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar, organic cane sugar

Salted Honey:

  • Ingredients: organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar, wildflower honey, unrefined sea salt

Notes:

Gently heat 1 cup of milk in a saucepan until it starts to bubble.

Add 2 tbsp of drinking chocolate. Whisk briskly until the cocoa is fully incorporated. Let is simmer for a minute.

Pour it in your favorite cup!

Optional: For a European style hot chocolate shot, replace milk with water. Let it simmer for 3-5 mins and reduce it to 4Oz rich chocolate shot.
