These antique scarab pieces are really special. We had Kat of Stone Cooper rework vintage scarab bracelets into something totally new, without losing their vintage sensibility (or authenticity!).

Thanks to Kat’s keen eye for detail (and secret sources, haha) - each of these necklaces are made of 100% genuine stones (not resin or glass!) in gold fill settings, all with carved scarabs and protection symbols on the back (you can literally flip the necklaces over to see the carvings on each stone). The stones included could be tiger's eye, bloodstone, carnelian, jade, chalcedony, onyx, or quartz, depending on the piece, so every single one is genuinely one-of-a-kind.

Fun fact: Scarabs happen to be one of the oldest symbols in jewelry - dating back to 1550 BC! The scarab symbol was said to represent creation, renewal, and protection. In the 1940s–60s, designers took this ancient motif and ran with it, which resulted in the scarab bracelets that make up these necklaces.

Each transformed necklace is handmade by Kat of Stone Cooper from authentic vintage Art Deco (1920s) and Egyptian Revival pieces (1970s).

At Stone Cooper, jewelry is a method of storytelling. Designer & Owner Katherine (Kat) Sliclen creates pieces that are sustainably and ethically-sourced, specializing in antique and vintage deadstock parts. With a background in metal smithing, Kat hunts through secret warehouses for hours (days?) on end, picking through bead by bead, link by link to find the perfect pieces to repurpose into her own designs.
