Vintage Scarab Bracelet (With Chain Guard)
Scarab bracelets have surged in popularity at various points throughout modern history, and it’s thought that the discovery of King Tut’s tomb in 1922 ignited one the most iconic resurgences. Thought to bring good luck and protection to its wearer, vintage scarab bracelets are crafted from gold fill and an array of real, genuine stones. Each stone—be it onyx, jasper, carnelian, or lapis—is hand-carved into a scarab shape with hieroglyphics on the underside, imbuing these pieces with a layer of mystery and historical reverence.
Our collection of one-of-a-kind, vintage scarab bracelets are uniquely crafted, with variations in stone type and number. These bracelets have the original safety chains still attached (for charm and durability), and some have signed designer markings. These bracelets are far from imitations of the past; they are pieces of wearable history, designed to endure and inspire.
Notes about vintage scarab bracelets:
“Gold filled” means that a thick layer of gold has been bonded to a base metal, and it’s much more durable (and will last far longer) than gold plated or gold vermeil jewelry. The only thing longer lasting than gold filled is actual solid gold (usually denoted as 14k or 24k gold).
