These antique necklaces feature hand-carved shell cameos (and one rare glass cameo!) framed in glowing gold-fill pendants. Each hangs from an 18in deadstock gold-fill chain. It’s the kind of heirloom-worthy necklace that feels both classic and unexpectedly modern - a fresh (yet nostalgic) everyday piece.

  • Delicately hand carved shell cameo, set in an intricate 10K gold-filled frame with a distinctive "Etruscan Revival" twisted-rope design, accented with four tiny "forget-me-not" flowers, which symbolized remembrance and faithful love. Marking on back: L.S.CO. which means it was crafted by the well-known Louis Stern Company.

  • Cameo size: .75in
  • Vintage gold-filled cameo locket with a classic shell cameo, etched scrollwork and textured (striped!) back. Locket is fully functional, and opens to reveal a red silk moire panel and a tiny sepia-toned portrait, consistent with photo-locket inserts in the 1940-1950’s. 
  • Red moire was considered the most romantic lining color, giving warmth to black-and-white portraits.

Designer & Owner Katherine (Kat) Sliclen creates pieces that are sustainably and ethically-sourced, specializing in antique and vintage deadstock parts.
