These “chocolate” bars aren’t actually chocolate - they’re cupuaçu, a caffeine-free cousin of cacao that tastes like the creamiest dark chocolate with a hit of salt. We first tucked these bars into our travel kit (they won’t mess with the already-crappy sleep on a redeye), but the entire team has been so smitten that we're offering them on their own, too. Especially perfect for anyone sensitive to caffeine!

Figa makes its bars from upcycled cupuaçu seeds, sweetened with dates and blended with cocoa butter, so they're also vegan and gluten-free. They also partner with regenerative farms in Brazil, where the fruit grows.

Notes:

Made with just four ingredients - Cupuaçu (coo-pu-ah-soo), dates, cocoa butter, and sea salt.

Figa’s Cupuaçu is sourced from regenerative farms in Brazil - supporting healthy forests, thriving soil and local farmers.

More About...

Figa

Figa Foods was founded by Ariel and Ronny, one from New York and the other from São Paulo, who set out to introduce Americans to cupuaçu, a Brazilian superfruit whose seeds make a rich, chocolate-like treat. Created with renowned Brazilian chocolate maker Luisa Abram, their bars are made from upcycled cupuaçu seeds sourced from regenerative farms, sweetened with dates, and naturally vegan, gluten-free, and caffeine-free. The name comes from the Brazilian phrase "fazer figa," meaning to bring good luck, and every bite is meant to share a little of that warmth and joy.
